Welcome to the City of Mill City!

Mill City, founded in 1886, is nestled in Oregon’s scenic North Santiam River Canyon. The city was named after the Santiam Lumbering Company’s mill on the current city site. Mill City was incorporated in 1947, and currently boasts a population of 1,560 residents.

MILL CITY DOG DAZE

Mill City Dog Daze (a city-wide garage/yard sale event) is held annually on the third Saturday in August. Sales begin early Saturday morning and run until the customers are gone. Over 50 sales each year.

Maps available at area businesses and garage/yard sales the morning of the event.

Come enjoy a great day of treasure hunting in Mill City August 21,2010!

MASTER PARKS AND RECREATION PLAN
DESIGN CONCEPTS

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mill City Middle School, 450 SW Evergreen St.


Planning Advisor David Kinney, Mill City Planning members, Landscape Architect Brian Bainnson, Mill City Council members, Mill City Parks Committee Members, and City Recorder Stacie Cook will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 11th at the Mill City Middle School Multi-Purpose Room to discuss the Mill City Parks and Recreation Plan (Including discussion on potential skate park locations). This will be an informal discussion where you will have a chance to review the draft concepts, ask questions and note your ideas and suggestions. There will be large copies of the concept plans available for you to review.

Please drop in at any time between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
